Urutau is a northeastern bird of nocturnal habits, able to camouflage itself by mimicking woody tones with dark and warm nuances. It is the inspiration of Salvadoran architect Danilo Cajaiba in Casa Urutau, an environment of more than 70m2 where San German signs the curatorship of furniture, coatings, plans and installations.
The show's theme, Corpo e Morada, was interpreted by Danilo from a contemporary reading with modernist inspiration. The project is clean and objective. The smoke dyeing, a launch by San German that brings a dark woody tone and organically striped, is repeated on the furniture and walls, creating a cohesive and perennial visual unit, just like the mimicry of the animal. The liveliness of the resident in his daily life completes the proposal with color and movement.
The entire structure was built using a modular technique and the use of technological innovation, resulting in a clean, low-impact design and quick assembly. The external coating in smoke eucalyptus has a San German signature, a novelty.
The signature is repeated inside, where the company executed the planned furniture for the kitchen, bedroom closet and pivoting partition for the living room, with different materials connected through the repetition of tones. "It is the first time that our decades-long expertise in carpentry covers walls and plans, a spoiler of the news that we will soon bring to the high-end market" points out the executive director Anderson Eidt.
The furniture features twelve models from Luan Del Sávio's collection manufactured by San German, also in smoke, from side and center tables to armchairs and a complete dinner. In them, the refined touch of wood and the very high standard of finishing that enshrined the brand are materialized, a partnership with Baú+, a sales representative in Bahia.
The show runs until September 10, from Tuesday to Sunday, at Alameda dos Sombreiros, in the Caminho das Árvores district, in Salvador.
